Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28th Oct 2026

Your privacy matters to us. So does the business data you trust us with. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

Elevate Insights Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN [PLACEHOLDER: ABN]) is a Sydney-based consultancy that designs and builds custom Microsoft Power BI dashboards for businesses across Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Elevate Insights Consulting Pty Ltd.

What personal information do we collect?

We only collect what we need to talk with you and do our work. That usually means:

  • your name, job title and business name

  • your email address and phone number

  • what you tell us in enquiries, emails, calls and meetings

  • billing details for invoicing, like your business address and accounts contact

  • basic website data, like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit

How do we collect it?

Mostly straight from you, when you:

  • fill in the contact form on our website

  • email or call us

  • meet with us for a demo, consultation or project

  • connect with us on LinkedIn or Facebook

Some details are collected automatically when you visit our website, through cookies. Now and then, someone may refer you to us and pass on your contact details.

Why do we collect it?

We use your personal information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and arrange a demo

  • prepare proposals and deliver our services

  • send invoices and manage payments

  • support your dashboards once they're live

  • improve our website

  • meet our legal and tax obligations

What happens to the business data you share with us?

To build your dashboard, we usually need access to your business systems. That could be your accounting software, CRM, practice management system, inventory platform, SQL databases or spreadsheets. These often hold personal information about your customers, staff or suppliers.

Here's how we handle it:

  • We only access the systems and data your project needs.

  • We use your data only to build, maintain and support your reporting.

  • We keep it confidential. We never sell it or use it for anything else.

  • We keep your logins secure and only use them for your work.

  • When our work together ends, we remove our access and delete any copies of your data we hold, unless we've agreed otherwise. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm Bridgette's end-of-project process.]

Your dashboards are hosted in [PLACEHOLDER: your own Microsoft Power BI account, or ours].

You decide what data you share with us, so it's up to you to check you're allowed to share it.

Who do we share your information with?

We don't sell, rent or trade personal information. Ever.

We only share it when we need to, with:

  • service providers who help us run the business, like our website host (Squarespace), our email provider [PLACEHOLDER: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365], our accounting software [PLACEHOLDER: name] and Microsoft for Power BI

  • your other advisers, like your accountant or software supplier, when you ask us to work with them

  • our own professional advisers, like our accountant or lawyer

  • government bodies or others when the law requires it

Is your information stored overseas?

Some of our service providers store data outside Australia. For example, Squarespace stores website and form data in the United States. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm where email and Power BI data are stored.]

We choose providers with strong security and privacy practices, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information properly.

Cookies and website analytics

Cookies are small files saved to your browser when you visit a website. We use them to keep the site working and to see how people use it, like which pages get the most visits.

Our website runs on Squarespace, which sets its own cookies and collects basic visitor stats.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some parts might not.

Do we use automated decision-making?

No. We don't use computer programs or AI to make decisions about you that could significantly affect your rights or interests.

If that changes, we'll update this policy to explain what information is used and what kinds of decisions are involved. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm Bridgette doesn't use AI tools to screen clients or make decisions about people.]

How do we keep your information secure?

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. That includes password-protected systems, and limiting access to the people who need it.

No system is 100% secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and report it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where the law requires.

How long do we keep it?

Only as long as we need it. We keep business and tax records for at least five years, as the Australian Taxation Office requires. After that, we securely delete anything we no longer need.

Can you see or correct your information?

Yes. Just ask. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If something's wrong or out of date, we'll fix it.

If there's a legal reason we can't give you access, we'll explain why.

How do you make a privacy complaint?

Contact Bridgette first. We'll look into it and get back to you within 30 days.

Not happy with our response? You can contact the OAIC:

  • Website: oaic.gov.au

  • Phone: 1300 363 992

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
